My Secrets to Success

Dream Big. Do Big. Be Happy!

I’ve been tagged for a meme by Harmony. The meme, started by Aaron Potts, is: “Simply Successful Secrets” and it is to cover the things that I do almost every day that help me to be successful.

These are my secrets….

Love it, hug it, squeeze it.
I am a big believer that you must LOVE what you do. I love to write. So I write. I love to dance, so I dance. Being passionate about what you do is one of my biggest platforms in life and as a writer!
I am happy because I do what I love. If I do not love what I am doing, I do something else.

Take time for other stuff
Go on walks, play with your animals, kids, or husbands, or do whatever else you enjoy. I am more productive when my life seems to be complete and in balance. Of course, it isn’t always in balance, but it helps to feel like it is!

Find Writer Friends
Writer friends will help you stay focused and motivated (Or friends in the area of your passion). You can share information and offer some help to other as well. Online and in-person: writer friends make all the difference for me as a writer.

Make lists
Like Harmony, I am a big fan of lists. I like to use sticky notes to track ideas. To-do lists keep me on track for the day. And what an amazing feeling to draw a line through a task!

Dream Big. Do Big. Be Happy!
I visualize my dreams and define my own success. Positive thinking is the most crucial tool for my success. How I define success also makes a big difference whether I “feel” successful or not. Success means being the best possible me. If I have done that, I have been successful!

Truly,

Sylvia C.

Silvia,

Thank you SO much for sharing your success secrets!

I especially loved what you said about "hug it, love it, squeeze it" because being passionate about what you do is (in my opinion) more important than anything else.

Passion will always find a way to success.

Thanks again for sharing your wisdom with us, Sylvia, and the picture that you used makes me smile! :)
